Effective Jan. 1, 2025, Lisa-Marie Komp joined the Prakken d'Oliveira cooperative.
Lisa-Marie has been attorney at law since 2013 and joined Prakken d'Oliveira in 2017. In her practice, she focuses on (state) liability for human rights violations, for which she litigates in both Dutch and European courts. In doing so, she puts a particular focus on human rights violations in the context of (European) migration control and violations related to the rights of the child and the right to family life. For example, she was involved in the first action for damages brought against the European border agency Frontex and is well known for her work on behalf of inter-country adoptees, as well as Dutch women who have in the past surrendered their child for adoption under pressure. In addition to her work as a lawyer, Lisa-Marie holds a PhD in the field of state liability for extraterritorial human rights violations and is a lecturer at the VU Amsterdam. Due to the special combination of knowledge and experience in practice as well as in the field of scientific research, Lisa-Marie is regularly consulted as an expert by advisory bodies and the media.
We are particularly pleased that Lisa-Marie will continue and further expand her practice as a partner at Prakken d'Oliveira. In this role, she will also be closely involved in the further development of our firm.
