The wolf "Bram" who lives on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug cannot be caught and/or shot. The province of Utrecht has insufficiently substantiated the asserted incidents with the wolf, and the leghold trap with which the wolf was to be captured is prohibited in Europe. The province is also deviating from its own police from the escalation ladder, without proper explanation. Today therefore, the court suspended the permit to capture and shoot the wolf.
The case is being handled for the Dutch foundation for the protection of fauna (Stichting Faunabescherming) by lawyer Bondine Kloostra.
