The objection lodged by foundation for wildlife protection -- in Dutch: De Faunabescherming -- against the Fauna Management Plan for Hunting and Exempted Species Flevoland 2024-2028, has been declared well-founded.

The Provincial Executive of the province of Flevoland withdrew the approval for the national exemption-component for the species wood pigeon, jackdaw, rabbit, fox and carrion crow.  In Flevoland, wood pigeons, jackdaws, rabbits, foxes and carrion crows may therefore no longer be killed. The Provincial Executive ruled that both the necessity for killing the species, and the alternatives had not been sufficiently substantiated.  Additionally, it had been insufficiently substantiated that the favorable conservation status of the jackdaw and the rabbit is not being compromised.
