Today, Greenpeace issued a formal summons to the Dutch State for its policy on nitrogen. On the basis of extensive research, Greenpeace has reached the conclusion that the Dutch policy on the nitrogen crisis is seriously failing. Nature is severely deteriorating as a result of the nitrogen surplus and as a result the Netherlands violates its obligations under the deteriorating prohibition in the European Habitats Directive. Greenpeace organised a press conference today in Nieuwspoort, which can be reviewed on their website.
Bondine Kloostra acts as Greenpeace's lawyer in this case.
