Mid-2018, Mr. Salo Muller, assisted by lawyer Liesbeth Zegveld, turned to the Dutch Railways (in Dutch: Nederlandse Spoorwegen, NS) in connection with the death transports that the NS carried out during the German occupation. Late 2018, the NS promised to compensate individual survivors of these death transports, as well as the widows and children born during the war of those transported by the NS. With view to working out the contours of this scheme, the Committee on Individual Compensation for Victims of WWII Transport by NS was subsequently established.
On Wednesday 26 Juni 2019, from 16:00-17:00, this committee will present its advice on how the individual compensation can be created.
