Lawyers, including Göran Sluiter, for a suspect in Case 004 at the Cambodia Tribunal (ECCC) point out that, due to financial problems, it is no longer possibe to protect their client’s right to a fair trial. They call for sufficient financial means to be made available to the defence. In the event that this is not possible, the investigations concerning their client should be terminated.
