Today, Marq Wijngaarden, Alexander Dolmatov's lawyer, has asked the state secretary of justice Fred Teeven for an independent investigation into the death of his client.
The request made reference to a report by the National Ombudsman and case law from the European Court of Human Rights showing that there are great practical and legal objections to an investigation conduced by very government institutions that were involved in Alexander's death.
Furthermore, the request contains four pages worth of questions from Alexander's mother; she has asked that they be considered in the investigation and answered in the written reports.
